She served for 13 years as a mediator for the Generations Program of The Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and has focused her practice on mediation for the last fifteen years. Selina can deal with both complex issues and difficult personalities effectively. She brings to the mediation process her tenacity and patience. Although she has mediated many types of cases, her specialty is mediating cases with parties who have had relationships, such as family, workplace, business partners, employment and closely held corporation disputes. Selina is an adjunct professor in ADR at both Pepperdine University School of Law's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and Duquesne University School of Law. She provides two annual basic mediation trainings in Pittsburgh which have been approved by the Federal Court to meet its requirement for mediator training for its ADR Panel. Selina currently serves as the President of the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania and has previously served on the Board of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators. Training: Selina has received extensive mediation training over the last 18 years, obtaining her initial certification training in 1997 from Robert Benjamin. In 2014, Selina received her LLM in Dispute Resolution, with a mediation emphasis, at the Strauss Institute of Pepperdine University, which is the topped ranked program of its kind in the country. She has specific training in both family and civil litigation mediation.
