Description: Mr. Sisca has more than 37 years of experience involving all aspects of insolvency law and litigation. He served as the United States Department of Justice's Assistant United States Trustee for the Western District of Pennsylvania from April 1999 through July 2022. As AUST he managed the Pittsburgh Office of the United States Trustee, which administered and operated as the watchdog for the bankruptcy system in the Western District. He was responsible for the oversight of all private trustees, as well as all litigation conducted by the United States Trustee. He now practices at Grenen and Birsic, P.C. From 1986 through 1999 he practiced insolvency law and litigation at a large national firm.

Training: Mr. Sisca is a 1986 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was recognized as a University Scholar, awarded an Alumni Association Scholarship, served as Articles Editor of the Law Review, and was a member of the Order of the Coif. As AUST, he was responsible for the settlement, or oversight of the settlement, of hundreds of matters that were litigated or raised informally by the United States Trustee. He has completed 40 hours of mediation training at The Conflict Lab, and a Pennsylvania Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution course.
