The Lockout Process

Attorneys who fail to pay their balances within a set number of days as determined by the Court, will have their accounts automatically "locked-out!" Such attorneys will be able to access CM/ECF, but not any options that would allow filing. The Query and Reports (PACER) options will still be available as will the Utilities option that would be used to pay the outstanding balances and "unlock" the account.

A locked-out attorney will see the Main Menu, but upon selecting Bankruptcy, they will see only a message indicating that their account has been disabled as seen in Figure 1.  Clicking on Adversary will yield no event items (See Figure 3 Below).

Figure 1

Clicking on the Your Account Has Been Disabled link will generate the "Your Account Has Been Disabled" menu
with the only option being Internet Payments Due. (See Figure 2)

Figure 2

Clicking on the Internet Payments Due link will display balance due and allow payment as explained in the Main Module and shown in Figures 2a and 2b.

Clicking on the Adversary Main Menu option yields no events. (See Figure 3)

Figure 3

Only the Query, Reports and Utilities options will display any options.

To clear the lockout, use the Internet Payments Due option under Utilities to pay balances.
