Withdraw as Attorney

 

The following is a detailed discussion of the steps to use in filing a Withdraw as Attorney pleading.

 

STEP 1 Click the Bankruptcy hyperlink on the CM/ECF main menu bar.

STEP 2 The Bankruptcy Events screen displays.

  •     Click on the Motions/Applications hyperlink.

 

STEP 3 The Case Number prompt screen displays.
(See Figure 3.)

  •     If a case number displays, verify that it is the correct number.
     
  •     If no case number displays, enter the case number in YY-NNNNN format.
  •     Click the [Next] button to continue.

 

STEP 4 The Event Selection screen displays.
(See Figure 4.)

  • Type "wi" in the event search box to narrow list of events.    
  • Click on Withdraw as Attorney entry to get it displayed in the Selected Events box.
  •     Click on the [Next] button to continue.

 

STEP 5 The Joint Filing screen displays.
(See Figure 5.)

  • Check box if appropriate - not normally so.
  • Click on the Next button to continue.

 

STEP 6 The Select the Party screen is displayed.
(See Figure 6.)

  • Click on the party you represent - they must be in the list.
  • Click on the Next button to continue.

 

STEP 7 The Select the pdf document screen is displayed.
(See Figure 7.)

  • Use the Browse button to identify the pdf file with the Motion to Withdraw
  • If appropriate, attach any additional pdf files.
  • Click on the Next button to continue.

 

STEP 8 The Modify Docket Text screen is displayed.
(See Figure 8.)

  • Select a prefix if appropriate.
  • Enter an enhancement if needed.
  • Click on the Next button to continue.

 

STEP 9 The Final Docket Text screen is displayed.
(See Figure 9.)

  • Click on the Next button to continue.

 

 

STEP 10 The Notice of Electronic Filing (NEF) is displayed.
  •  As always, this screen completes the filing and any issues discovered at this time would be directed by phone to the Case Administrator monitoring the particular case in question.

  • Would be best to print a copy of this screen.
