The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania takes great pride in engaging with the community through its various outreach activities. The Bankruptcy Judges actively participate as speakers and panelists at numerous community events each year. In addition to these efforts, the Court continues to develop new programs for different areas of need within the community. The Court is currently offering the financial literacy and basic bankruptcy presentations listed below. Upon request, the Court is willing to schedule presentations at locations within the Western District of Pennsylvania with a focus on information relevant to the target audience.

- Basic budgeting and general financial literacy program designed for presentation at public libraries or similar venues to reach a broad audience
- Credit & the Bankruptcy Court: Avoiding the Pitfalls of Student Finances, a program hosted by the Bankruptcy Court for local high school students
- Bankruptcy basics video presentation designed to be shared with local schools as a supplement to their curriculum
- In-person financial literacy program presented by Judges and local attorneys at high schools and community colleges
